In June, I did a lot of writing (26 blog posts, to be exact) and I cross-posted them on this blog and on my Medium blog. This month, I’ve written much less (9 blog posts, not including this one) and I’ve posted them all on Medium. I know a lot of people have tried to read my Medium posts and been blocked by the paywall. I’m sorry about that. Here’s how you can read my Medium posts.
Starting this month, posts that I share directly via email or Facebook should be available to my friends without the paywall. If you want me to email them directly to you, let me know and I’ll do that. If you have a problem with getting them for free from my Facebook posts, let me know, and I will check into it and fix it.
Better yet, subscribe to Medium. You will have unlimited access to my writing and lots of other good stuff. It only costs $5 per month, which is less than one latte at Starbucks, and the money goes to the writers that you “clap” for. Let me say that part again: your subscription money goes directly to the writers that you like. We’ve all gotten used to free content on the web, but it isn’t actually free. It’s paid for by advertisers, and very rarely do the writers themselves get paid. If you don’t like that model, here’s your chance to circumvent it and make sure the writers you like get paid directly, without being assaulted with advertising.
If you aren’t really interested in reading my Medium posts, then check back on this blog occasionally, where I will post news and stuff that doesn’t quite warrant a full Medium post. You can also subscribe to my newsletter, where I share the highlights once a month or so. Thanks for reading!
